Any ideas howto target the VolumeBar component Handle via as3?

I'm trying to tween the alpha of the component but the handle never takes on the alpha style, it just sits on top like it isn't part of the component.

and if I say removeChild, when I addChild back again the handle is gone completely!

Dude you're a life saver, I've looked all over the net to try and do exactly this but this is the only article I've found that has lead me in the right direction.

Anyway I won't have to pull my hair out on this one anymore.

Thanks!

@vitaLee - You are right. Actually I wanted to tell people to be careful with this advantage, because if you forget about it then it can produce unexpected results, when you think you have one listener.

that's one of the advantages you get with AS3.
there's nothing wrong with it, actually you should expect the same behaviour from all your event listeners (listening to custom and built in events).

Hi, Tamer! Thanks for your comment! I made some experiments with the Slider component and found the way to change the thumb properties like width, height, etc. Check out the second part of the series about skinning flash components at [AS3] Skinning Flash Components - Part II.
